Ambleside Climate Change Forum is a group of local people who have been meeting together since 2006.

Our members are local residents together with University of Cumbria students and staff.  In 2009 we are planning to celebrate some of the exciting things being done locally to look after the environment and to reduce our carbon footprint.   We are encouraged that there is still time to avoid the worst disasters that could come with global warming; and we aim to do what we can ourselves, and to encourage all in the local community to play their part.  At the same time we will seek to persuade national and international leaders to show real leadership.  Global warming might damage our local environment; but it could be totally disastrous for some of the poorer communities around the world.

For more details please contact us by phoning Amy Baud on Ambleside 32222 or Anita Payne on 32686.
